Tom Heppell, I've sent you an e mail with a SELJUK explanation. We had females at sea on Swiftsure Tom, they were called stewards then. Ooops! Apols to all the Nigel maintainers around, I meant it as a term of endearment of course ;) |
|
Up for routine, nothing for us as usual, GOOD. Heaven is 500ft in a force 12.! p.s. can we have our guest book back please? |
|
Pete Seljuk, Glad you remember me; yes, I was on Swiftsure in the seventies, I'm sorry to say that your name doesn't ring a bell. What branch were you? Agree the Collins Class looked good but there were females on board!! Just didn't look right! Good to know that Steve has made a go of his transfer down under though. |
| Tom Heppell.....that name rings a bell, I served with you on Swiftsure in the seventies. Hiya matey, I saw the programme you mentioned. I admired the way they made loads of noise until the attempted transit through those two islands then went PQS. Didn't suss out if they eluded the Elmers or not though. The Collins class looked a good boat, but seemed to be carrying an awful lot of opdefs. |

As a P&O deck officer and RNR List One Lieutenant, I volunteered for submarines in 1966 and was fortunate to serve under three brilliant submarine COs: Geoff Biggs, Barry Carr and Dick Husk. Following basic training at Dolphin and seatime in Otus, I returned to my 'other life' as Second Officer of P&O's SS Oronsay, where I was able to regale my bridge watchkeeping chums with amazing stories of submarine COs - men younger than them(!) who could think, navigate and fight in three dimensions! In 1970 I passed my masters certificate and after a spell as first officer of SS Chusan, I married and embarked upon Nuclear Training at RNC Greenwich, joining NXC32 and shortening my Spanish honeymoon by three days! By comparison to master's FG at Sir John Cass, NXC32 was akin to comparing spherical trigonometry with Euclid and calculus, resulting in the burning of much midnight oil! I was in good company, alongside such eminent submarine stalwarts as Andrew Thomson, Chris Belton and Dick Channon - men destined for the higher echelons of SSN and SSBN command. Following an exciting time in the simulator, I joined Valiant, under the command of Disk Husk, at Devonport. Easter 1982 saw me giving up my day job with a French submarine company and mobilised for the Falklands War. Somewhat older, I was given the impressive title of STUFTO! There are few who can say they got STUFT for Queen and Country - but I certainly did! During Op Corporate, I was enormously privileged to be based at Northwood, serving under the late and very great Admiral Sir John Fieldhouse. I had read of such men as a boy; leaders in the mould of Cochrane, Nelson and Fisher. But in all my life I had never met such a man as John Fieldhouse - or such a marvelous ADC as his darling and devoted 'Midge'. What a marvelous team - they were quite simply: fantastic. I last saw John Fieldhouse at a City Livery function -we were both Shipwrights - and learned of his untimely passing while driving home from work at the Plessey Company, where I was head of export marketing in the Naval Systems division. The news came as a great shock and I had to pull over to the side of the road. I was very fond of the man; admiring and respecting him greatly. The John Fieldhouse Building and ‘Commander-in-Chief’ by Basil Watson are fitting tributes to this great, charismatic, modest and unassuming Yorkshireman. With his passing, our country lost its noblest Son. |
| Bill, what the hell was Tugwell doing over Rona and in my beloved Gypsy Moth ? Wait until I see the young blighter he'll be right back to the front before he knows it, I've had to get another fello in to see to the hunter. |

| I would love here from anyone that may have known my Dad John Norman Stone. He often talks about his days in the RN. Imnot sure what the name of the Sub was but it sruck a mine and went to the bottom. He mentions he was one of the few to get out alive. He knows Im sniffing around trying to find out information about his service days and is now reluctant to give up information. I think he still feel terible about his crewmates. Any info you can give or other sites I could look at would be great, all treated with the greatest respect. Thank you. |

My Wife and I enjoyed our visit to Dolphin last Friday. We were very impressed with our guided tour arround HMS Alliance. As our guide told it like it was answering all questions about all aspects of life aboard Submarines. We spent about 4 hours looking round the museums and trying the many active exhibits. Well done thank you for a memorable day. Terence Whitworth |
|
My great uncle served on HMS SALMON and I have a solid silver cigarette box and solid silver match box which has the subsricption on it which says TO PETTY OFFICER F. RINGHAM FROM THE OFFICERS AND SHIPS COMPANY OF H.M.S SALMON 31-3-36. Have tried hard to find out more about these silver boxes but just come to a dead end regards samantha. |

Firstly - congratulations on an excellent and informative site. Secondly - many thanks to Debbie Corner at the museum for her very prompt attention to an enquiry I made. Thirdly - I'd welcome any information regarding Stoker, 1st Class, William Keltie, R.F.R./Po/B.5405, or anything about his family or descendants. He was, along with the rest of the crew of submarine HMS E11, awarded the DSM in 1915 for service in the Sea of Marmora. |

Smudge, I've tried e mailing you but keep getting the message returned. Swiftsure '75 to '84. Made a break for it in '84 to Northwood and have been running since. Our paths may have crossed, I can't place the face but the name I remember because Smudge is so unusual. My Naval name was Bungy - again very unusual - or Paj. Ex LS(S)SM. |

| I would be very interested to hear from anyone who knew my brother, Able Seaman Bruce Douglas, from Coleraine, N. Ireland, who was a crew member of H.M.Submarine "Trident" in 1942 and 1943. He then joined H.M. Submarine "Sceptre" and took part in Operation Heckle, when the Sceptre towed the X24 to make a second attempt to destroy the U Boat dry dock in Bergen harbour in September 1944. This was a successful operation, but sadly Bruce was killed accidentally whist the Sceptre was waiting to take the X24 on tow off Norway. He sat up in his hammock to go on duty after resting, just as the hydraulic operating ram moved across the submarine at speed. He was buried at sea, and last year my husband and I, with the kind help of the Royal Norweian Navy, visited his burial place at sea. It would be really nice to hear from someone who had known him, as he had many very good friends, particularly on "Trident", whom the family never knew. |

Anyone remember the saga of the Alliance after the battery explosion at portland then the sinking on the test dive of Plymouth, blowing main vents in emergancy, but the vents were still open, back to drydock torechock the batteries, then the grand finale, getting the after spring snagged around the stb shaft!!and finally getting to Faslane for workup and the ballast last pump packing up!!and then slinking of to dartmouth to take cadets to sea for the day!! happy days indeed |

Ex CCMEA, 1974 - 94, Orpheus, Opportune, Oppossum, Oracle etc etc! Remember when the museum was above the church in the bastion! Just a bunch of makeshift tables with bits and pieces lying around everywhere and 'Nigger' the dog becoming more moth bitten by the day! How times have changed.. Now working in operational management for the super yachts in the Med and Carib. Totally bored!! Am in the process of writing a book about my time in O boats. It would be great to hear from anyone who knows me to shed light on some of those 'senior moments' when I can't remember exactly what happened!! |

Met Peter Francis at a cocktail party here in France and he insists I visit the museum in November or December. Also met here Anthony Sumption who commanded the submarine that served the local beaches here in the Vra (France) prior to the Allied landings. ALways loved submarines. Good luck with the museum and best wishes to Jeff Tall whom Peter Francis will contact when I'm en route. Cheers, John Pollard |

I shall be pleased to know when this is completed as I would like to come and revisit the W&D compartment. I have seen the netcutters which are also a valuable artefact. |

Well done to H.M. Royal Navy in the sucessful rescue of the Russian sub,Priz and her crew of seven submariners. How wonderfully "British" the modest comments of one of our Naval Commanders in saying "They were just doing their job". Excellent work lads !! |

I am 73 years old and remember very vividly the start of the invasion. Living in Rotterdam at that time and coming from school, my mother told me that the invasion had started. Overwhelmed with joy it took still a year and a winter of hunger to get liberated. Thanks to these brave men, we are living in a free country. |

Very good and interesting site. It's a great pity that Guy D'Oyly-Hughes turned into such an obnoxious, pompous ,arrogant man when he was captain of HMS Glorious resulting in the loss of so many lives. he must have changed considerably from his days on the U-Boats. |

I was sadened to see the London bombings and offer my deepest sympathy to all those affected by them. I live in Florida and am glad I have the opportunity to do so In the USA all Military personnel serving and veterans are treated with respect. How must those heros from our country who fought for our freedom feel about how our country has deteriorated. We should stand up for ourselves, and for once learn from our friends across the Pond God Bless the UK and USA |

Hi. good website, A big Hi to all who I served with (Superb, Spartan, Sealion, Onyx, Otus), including Dickie Dawson (If you're the same Dickie Dawson (Ex UC1) that served with me (LROSM) and George Henshaw (LSSM) on Otus and you're currently working for the Canadian Gov't - do they know what they've let themselves in for??) If it is you, it's nice to see you are still surfacing occasionally. Also good to see that Dave Silburn is still alive & kicking, I think we served together in Superb. Hi guys, I'm feeling a little nostalgic sitting in my study and surfin' all the submarine sites. I can't help but notice that the Yanks are claiming all the credit for the Cold War victory for themselves. Now we all know that's not true don't we. It would be nice if somebody put the record straight. Yeah like maybe in a hundred years time, when do the records get declassified, if ever! |
| May you all have a splendid year. Those of you still serving remember to check that the main vents are shut before you surface, not like Onslaught did in 1964 |

Hello. He was here. |
|
Just looking for old oppo's, Scorcher, Cachalot, Tiptoe, Sea Devil, Oracle. |
|
Hi Tich Maloney Yes it is I who has got four of (not three) what you only have two. (thats got everybody thinking who reads this). I remember you well I thought it was St Thomas not St Kitts...still who cares I know that we all had a good P.U. I remember the St lucia trip and the working with the yanks in Puerto Rico... must have swapped nearly all the submarines food and equipment for their bomber jackets. remember the after ends rubber fund run by Tom Manning and Brigham Young Tom lives opposite me but sadly Brigham passed away. One of the chefs was Foxy Fowler who we buried on the beach in St Kitts. One of the sonar men was called gronk. Remember Snuffy Hibbert outsided wrecker,s mate ...one of his duties was looking after the sh.... tank. Remember the day he blew it and the skipper was sitting on the throne. The bunting tosser was McCullum and the other sparker was Ben truman (also lives in Paignton) along with puffer Panting. The chief tiffy was a guy who looked 100 years old do not know his name (but knew his stuff). Nice run ashore in Bermuda on our way home. I think the RS's name was Mick Godly. Well that is enough from me...once again it is very nice to hear from 'Old Ships' brings back some wonderful memories. All the best Taff Bevan |

Hi The trek to Nepal is now a thing of the past. We were not able to trek in the Everest region of Nepal due to Maoist activity. The roads were mined & we did not have the medical capcity to cope with casualties. we had a vote as to continue with the trek the result was to continue as we did not want to let down our sponsors, It was decidedto trek in the other direction to the Annapurna region but this would again involve a 9 hour bus ride which could get us into trouble, to avoide any such trouble it was decided to fly from Kathmandu to Phokara then a short drive to Phedi passing through many Army road blocks to the start point. Then a three to four hour climb to our first camp site (altitude 1,500 meters). In the morning we wake to see a great view of the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhare. Here we leave the tourist trail to trek through forests following a trail along a ridge of hills, gaining hight all the time, our next camp was in a small clearing (altitude 2,100 meters). Next day we climb through thinning forests with occasional glimpses of mountains towering above us & looking down the Mardi Khola river thousands of feet below. We reach low camp (altitude 3,000 meters) for lunch. In the afternoon climb another 300 Meters then back down to low camp to spend the nightthis was to prepare the body for the altitude we were to climb to the following day. the following daya short climb takes us out of the forest, we follow the ridge to our high camp, we were now well into the snow. (altitude 3,600 meters) we pitched our tents on about 2ft of snow, that night it was three to a two man tent to keep warm, the temp dropped to about -20, we turned in fully booted and spured, bit like the forends. The following day we had intended to climb to over 4,000Meters but the weather was bad and we were in thick cloud it would have been foolhardy to carry on but we had achived our goal. We returned to low camp as several were suffering from altitude sickness.we spent another night at low camp. Next day we descend more than 2,000metersthrough forest, bush and terraced fields to the river valley & our final camp. Next day we walk through the Mardi Khola Valley passing quiet Nepalese settlements to our finish point. & a bus ride to Phokara for an overnight stay. Next day we fly back to Kathmandu (the flight back never went above 10,000ft which was not as high as we had climbed) My thanks to everyone who sponsored me. Helping to raise much needed funds for SSAFA Forces Help. If you have not sponsored me yet now is your chance take a look at my home page. Thank you. |

Hi Just the trek to Nepal is now a thing of the past. We were not able to trek in the Everest regioa of Nepal due to Maoist activity the roads were mined& we did not have the medical capcity to cope with casualties. we had a vote as to continue with the trek the result was to continue, but in the other direction to the Annapurna region but this would again involve a 9 hour bus ride which could get us into trouble to avoide any troubleit was decided to fly from Kathmandu to Phokara then a short drive to Phedi passing through many road blocks. Then a three to four hour climb to our first camp site (altitude 1,500 meters). In the morning we wake to see a great view of the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhare here we leave the tourist trail to trek through forests following a trail along a ridge of hills, gaining hight all the time, our next camp was in a small clearing (altitude 2,100 meters). | I don't disagree with our efforts in foreign policy and back the use of force when done properly, as we did for the Gulf War. While politicians do make difficult decisions, they come when advised by top military generals and brass. These serve to further the interests of our country and enhance our relations within the world community |

I made a journey down from London today to do some research on world war 2 subs. I am involved with a theatre production about events surrounding the sinking of the HMS Thetis in 1938. After checking the website I was excited about the historical exhibitions containing original uniforms and other items. I was disappointed to find when i arrived that the exhibition I had come to see was closed until August due to buildng work in the exhibition hall. I was also unable to tour the large submarine as it was closed. I would encourage you to make these long-term closures much more evident on your webside in order to avoid more wasted journeys. Sincerely Michael Breakey |
| back for 1 good all round look.regards to all. |

| A relative and good friend of mine are both ex submariners so I decided to visit the museum to get an idea of life on board a submarine. It was one of the most interesting, fascinating and enjoyable days I have ever had. As I come from a family that have a long history of serving in the Navy, I really wish that I had joined, although I know I would never be able to serve on a submarine yet I would love to. Keep up the good work and I hope to visit again in the not too distant future. |
| This is Peter Butterworth, ex submariner, now living in Las Cruces New Mexico, USA. My last boat was HM/Sm Tiptoe. It is with great sadness I report the news of the death of Maggie Rutherford.I heard of it at the re-union and actually read it in Navy News.Maggie was one of the great characters of "Boats".He was the one who had the fish tank installed on Renown.I had the pleasure of doing 4 patrols with him.I hope its not true and Maggie has just won the lottery and has reported it himself. Hi What a great site good to see some names from the past still I have crossed over to the Skimmer world for a while looking forward to going back to the fold All The Best |
|
I've sent an e-mail research request direct to Mr. Head of the Archives Working Group. As a Canadian Naval Reserve long "tas" specialist, I decided in the mid '60's the way to learn to hunt S/M was to live in one. So served in HM S/M ASTUTE of 6th Sqn. at Halifax, under LCdr Ringrose-Vose - a great submariner, with Tod Slaughter as his X.O. I then served as well in the Canadian HMC S/M RAINBOW, (ex-USN) for a few weeks. Learned a lot!! Visited S/M Museum at Gosport about 1995 - just as your original A boat was being refitted. A first class site. BRAVO ZULU! |
|
Up for an ASS, one all round. Wally Walton and PAJ Williams, did you receive my e-mail as I've not had any reply. Going deep, see ya on the next routine. |

Hiya fellow Deeps Just popped in to have a look around; nice site. I've put up a site dedicated to diesel submariners, you can find it at www.dieselweasel.co.uk. I was prompted to do the site after a conversation at last year's Diesel Submariners' Reunion. If you've not been to the reunion, it's a bit like a living exhibition from the Submarine Museum...with beer! |
| Hope to visit your museum when next in the area. |
| Superb website and a great museum. |

|
Hi Lads Great to get some emails off some old shipmate. Am i the only one still pushing these around? |
|
Going to the submarine Museum have made me understand so many.things ,i did not understand.I always believed Man would live in water , ie breathe in water without oxygen tanks. With the machines made mention in the museum that can breakdown water into hydrogen and oxygen.it is going to work. Watch out for the mindblowing invention. |
|
I had been meaning to visit the museum for some time, and finally made it today. Having worked at Rugby and Criggion VLF radio stations I was keen to see what happened at the "receiving end" of our transmissions. The exhibits are first-class, and the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guides allow a glimpse into the reality of life aboard. I came away with a deep sense of respect and awe for submariners and their achievements over the years. I shall visit again soon, to learn more about these fascinating craft and their crews. Many thanks. |
| hope to visit the museum soon |
| Dolphin gone!Fort Blockhouse soon to become luxury flats? Stick a 'fish in the base of the Spinnaker tower, that'll give Gosport it's bridge and save money. Thanks for an exellent museum and a great site, and all the hard work with both. |

| I had served on several U.S. submarines from 1958 until my retirement in 1974 |
| I visisted this site while researching HMS THORN a T Class Submarine which was attacked in the Mediteranian Sea on 6th August 1942 and lost with all hands. My grandmothers youngest brother., Leading Stoker Robert (Bob) Reeson was serving on the submarine at the time. It was the families greatest wish to lay a plaque on the wreck and hold a small memorial service in his and his shipmates memory. Now as a Diving Instructor, I wish to locate the wreck and seek permission from the war graves commission to carry out the wishes of his remaining immediate family. Any one with any information relating to this wreck, please get in touch with me as time is fast disappearing for his brothers and sister to see this memeorial service in their life time. My partner has inherited the service medals of her grandfather William Patterson who was killed on a WWII RN submarine. We do not know yet what sub this was. We wondered if there is anyone alive who knew him? His son, also William Patterson, served in the RN in the 1950's and 60's. He has since passed away, and there are no surviving family who know about William Patterson senior. |
|
We are very grateful that this important part of our history is being preserved and passed on. |
|
Was on a submarine once !! Captain Nemo's in Florida. It was at Walt Disney World. We dived to 10 feet. Exciting and exhilarating. (probably better than the real thing) knowing that we were coming up without a hitch. Still rather have Aircraft Carriers any time !! Cafeteria, Laundry, Naafi, plus we had eccles cakes every other day, showers too (every day) You submariners must have been an awfully un-hygenic lot...... just kidding Terry "Stacks" Heaps |
| Just a quick check for familiar names, I hope all you ex diesel fiends are doing well rl |
|
I have a song about John Phillip Holland the submarine inventor on CD. it sung by Micko Russell who is (was)a tradidional musician from Co. Clare. I hope to visit the museum soon, v good web site |

|
I have just finished reading John Parker's "The Silent Service." He had the presence of mind to enter in his appendix your website, together with a few others too. But yours was the main one, and I have found it very enlightening with the information that it cotained. Best of good fortune for the future as the "Silent Service" is one that done much to defend humanity from oppression with little acknowledgement. James Barratt |
| FAO JJ TALL ex churchill.Nice to see you on the T V.! Jan |
|
The only time I ever had the chance to go aboard a submarine was at the Coronation Fleet Review in 1953. I chickened out - I was only five years old at the time and the dark hole with the smell of deisel frightened the life out of me. I should have gone aboard. Thanks for the chance to catch up, even in a small way. |
|

| I will be in Portsmouth on 26 June 2004. Portsmouth has a lot of history to it and I can't wait to meet the people and try to see everything I can! |
| I have just had my evenings football viewing interrupted while having to delete four juvenile messages from the guestbook. A short reminder (should the culprits return) that all the entries in the guestbook are fully logged and traceable. I can't be bothered in this case, but I am sure that there is a certain County Council who would be very interested in how their IT resources are being used. |

Is there any truth to the rumour that submariners didn't shower every day, and that sometimes it would be two days getting into the shower.. How vexatious. Also heard that the cafeteria on board these beastly little subs only had one choice of dessert, take it or leave it !! How on earth did you keep your ice cream chilled. Give me Carriers every time Nice site Cheers Terry. |

| Hi guys, i was just surfin some websites that my friend from England had been on. This one came up, i think she is doing college work or something on it. I'd love to come and see the museum, i will phone up next time i'm in that area. I am organising to take local orfans out in to the community, this museum would be a good place for them to learn about their country, aswell as having a fun day out. Hope to see y'all soon. Britney x |
| Hi its me, i think your museum needs more publicity. I would be happy to help you out with that. Fun adverts are needed to promote the museum, it needs to be open to more audiences. From Deana xXx |

Just surfing and found your site. I was a guest aboard HMS Warspite in October 74 (anchored of Kurachi, Pakistan) as an Senior SONAR Technician Chief (SS) and a crew member of USS Plunger, SSN-595. The senior petty officers were invited below as the Warspite hosted a terrific get together. Both the Warspite and Plunger crews totally diminished the liquid refreshments and it took the commandeering of the USS Berkely's (a destroyer's whale boat sent to retrieve the Plunger's over due senior Petty officers) to make a speed run to HMS Eagle to replenish the stout. We all had a laugh when they coaxed the coxian and boat engineer below, then set sail for Eagle. In the process, they hoisted the Union Jack on the whale boat. My memory fades a little at this point but I do remember getting lowered down the side of Warspite attached to a snubber and into one of the Ranger's launches. Seems that the flag on USS Ranger wanted to sortie and Plunger didn't have enough personnel to man the maneauvering watch stations. Anyway, a great memory of the visit and a good time was had by all and ... later when passing in review, everyone gasped a little when Warspite dipped the "Jolly Roger" as she passed the reviewing station on Ranger. The Warspite and her crew will always be held in highest regard and was truely a great ship with a great crew! |

Strange to see Squaddies and lumpy jumpers roamin round Dolphin. Jetty is in a poor state tho'. Only one crane left and it looked like an ostrich with its head in the sand. Petrol Pier still in use for the TS Royalist. The RA (8p a pint Bulmers old diesel Scrumpy back in '77)is still there along with the G&D. Time to go back in for that underwater look. Depth 82 ft. All the best to all RN Submariners and Museum Manager and workers. Rear Admiral A. Can ERENOGLU Commander of Turkish Submarine Fleet |

I have just visited the site and looked at ditties on boats for the first time in more than a decade. It came as a suprise to see that the old comrades association is no longer although it was always on the cards that a change was in the offing. I was on the sovereign in the mid 70's and was a member of the association in bristol and then north staffs, but what with one thing and another i seem to have lost touch. After reading about the museum i just might have a look at re-joining. Thanks for the tour of the boats on the site i will have another look again one day yours aye jonah |

I've been there a half a year ago. Liked it a lot, especialy the old servicemen who explained how it's working on a sub. I've served in the Royal Dutch Navy on a frigat, so i can't talk about the things that happened on a sub. (altough i realy should like it) But things turned diverend back then.Although the whole museum is like a kind of mekka for the sub-lovers, there was not one thing i did dislike about your museum. Keep the good work going! aND I Will sure be back sometime! Greetings........ |
| Hi there..i'm really interested to join the submarine service. The Royal Malaysian Navy will be having it's own submarine by year 2007, and i'm looking foward to join the submarine crew. | Ich möchte den marinehistorisch interessierten Lesern mitteilen, dass im September 2003 das von mir verfasste Buch "U-Boot-Jagd im Mittelmeer - Der Einsatz der 22. U-Jagdflottille" (Submarine hunting in the Mediterranean - the Story of the 22. |
| Anyone from Renown Stbd First Commiss(1968-1970). Please contact. Trying to trace Surgeon(Lt) Ken Heaton (Renown Stbd First Commission)was onboard during US trip in July 1969. |

|
Hi, I came to the museum with a friend of mine on a cold Sunday morning about four weeks ago and I've been meaning to drop you a line ever since, to say how much we enjoyed the visit. I probably take a look around four or five museums each year, but yours was the most accessible and friendly that I can remember. We arrived a little early; you weren't yet open and we having a look around the various "exhibits", props and the like, that were in the car park. The lady, who we later learned was staffing the Weapons Exhibit, arrived shortly, asked if she could help and made us feel very welcome. The tour around the Alliance was a real highlight. To be shown around a submarine by someone who had actually served on subs of the era was a real bonus. It is one thing to know the details and history of the hardware, but he also did a fantastic job of conjuring up the atmosphere of a serving boat. I’m afraid we kept the poor chap talking for some time after the tour had officially finished. We also much enjoyed the Holland. It was great to actually be able to get on board such a piece of history and get some feeling of how claustrophobic it must have been. Each of the other exhibits was also fascinating and the openness of much of it particularly impressed me. To be able to actually run your hand along a Polaris, to be able to peer directly into a midget sub makes the experience so much better than just peering at things in glass cabinets. Many thanks, Paul Davis |
| Just doing a quick sweep and wish all a merry chrimbo and all that goes with it. Sue is still reliving the Churchill reunion of last year.
