Holland 1

Holland I, the Royal Navy's first submarine can now be seen in a purpose built environmentally controlled building funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Countess Mountbatton officially opened the gallery on the 17th May 2001 during the RN Submarine Service's Centenary Year. On the 3rd July 2001 visitors to the Museum were once again able to Holland I which had since 1995 been in a giant tank undergoing conservation treatment.
