The Princess Royal Supports British Tourism, 10th June, 2003

 

 

 

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, and other Members of the Royal Family will travel to many different parts of the UK to show their support for British Tourism on Tuesday, 10th June. 

 

The Princess Royal will undertake engagements in Hampshire and East Sussex.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will start her engagements in Gosport at the Royal Naval Submarine Museum (09:40), before moving on to Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower (10:30).

 

Afterwards, The Princess will receive a presentation on the Tourism without Traffic Project at the Seven Sisters Country Park, in East Sussex (11:50).  There Her Royal Highness will meet representatives from the Sussex Wildlife Trust at the Park, before travelling by Cuckmere Community Bus to Alfriston Clergy House, a thatched National Trust Property (13:20).

 

After departing the House, again by Community Bus, The Princess will visit one of the most popular tourist attractions in East Sussex, Drusillas Park (14:00).  Her Royal Highness will see the Rodriques Fruit Bats and meet the Junior Board of Directors who are aged between 10 and 13.

The Queen and Members of the Royal Family celebrate

British Tourism

 

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, supported by other Members of the Royal Family, will celebrate British Tourism on Tuesday, 10th June.

 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will start the day by visiting Legoland in Windsor. They will continue by car to the Britain and London Visitor Centre to be met by the Mayor of London. The Queen and The Duke will tour the facilities meeting Blue Badge guides, City of London guides and Original London Walks guides before opening the centre.

 

In the afternoon, The Queen will open the new Museum in Docklands while The Duke of Edinburgh will visit the Design Museum and the Museum of London.

 

In the evening, The Queen will host a ‘Tourism Reception’ at Buckingham Palace for tourism representatives from England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  The Prince of Wales will host a reception in Scotland.

 

In support of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, other Members of the Royal Family will undertake engagements across the country.
