Re Fred Atkinson crossing the bar. His son Paul says email him for details etc on [email protected] Like Jan Beer said, Fred was one of the last characters from A's and his endless dits will be sorely missed.

I served on Sirdar, Sleuth and Solent as Bunting t**ser with 3rd squadron based largely on HMS Maidstone. I now live in Bangkok Thailand, although I come back to the UK every six months to visit and attend the Bitmingham Branch meetings. get in touch if you remember me please. Bryan
