The Photograph Archive contains over 120,000 images depicting the RN Submarine Service from its inception in 1901 with HM Torpedo Boat No. 1 (aka ‘Holland 1’) to the latest ‘Vanguard-class’ submarines. These include photographs, negatives, lantern slides and glass plate negatives of the Submarines, their Crews, Depot Ships and Shore Bases.

We are constantly trying to enhance the archive so if you, or anybody you know, has any submarine related photographs which you would be willing to donate or loan to the museum for copying we would be very grateful.
